Professor Haruna D. Dlakwa, Acting Vice Chancellor of Borno State University (BOSU), assured a United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) delegation of sustained collaboration in combating Gender-Based Violence (GBV) in emergencies.
During a courtesy visit, Prof. Dlakwa praised UNFPA’s efforts, including a workshop and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BOSU. He vowed to solidify the partnership, pending University Senate endorsement.
Director of Academic Planning, Prof. Mohammed Musa, was tasked with ensuring timely progress. UNFPA Team Leader, Mr. Mathew Onoja, emphasized the visit’s purpose as a follow-up to 2023’s GBV workshop, aiming to establish BOSU and Borno State as model institutions in the campaign against GBV.
